300 SL Coupe / 300 SL Gullwing

Während der Produktion des 300 SL Flügeltürers waren zehn Standardfarben für die Außenhaut verfügbar. Wurde kein Farbwunsch geäußert, so war silbergraumetallik die Standardkonfiguration. Auf Sonderwunsch war aber nahezu jede Farbe möglich. Von diesen Farbwünschen wurde bei fortschreitender Produktion mehr und mehr Gebrauch gemacht. Insgesamt wurden ab Werk 49 verschiedene Farben auf die Karosserien der 300 SL Coupes aufgebracht. Die Statistik, die hier heruntergeladen werden kann gibt einen Überblick.

Ten colors were standard during the production of the 300 SL Coupe. If no special order was made, the 300 SL would be delivered in silver grey livery as standard color. Upon request, almost every color would be applied. Towards the end of the production cycle, more and more special orders were placed. a total number of 49 different colors was applied on production bodies of the 300 SL. We have compiled a statistic about the color distribution on the 300 SL coupe.
